“Sobre sostener o ser sostenido” es el título de la acción que Ana Matey presenta el miércoles 23 de octubre en Villa Straüli, donde está realizando una residencia artística investigando sobre el “cuerpo arbóreo” desde el 23 de septiembre.
En esta obra Ana sigue cuestionando la manera de relacionarnos con nuestro entorno a través de una acción poética donde caminar, recolectar y desplazar son como en toda su obra, las acciones que la vertebran. Actos que son el propio statement o declaración de intereses de la artista: que su huella erosione lo menos posible. Su obra es un ejemplo de decrecimiento, habla y cuestiona en primera persona lo que es ser sostenible, sostener y que te sostengan.

“On sustaining or being sustained” is the title of the action that Ana Matey presents on Wednesday, October 23 at Villa Straüli, where she is carrying out an artistic residency investigating the “arboreal body” since September 23.
In this work Ana continues to question the way we relate to our environment through a poetic action where walking, collecting and moving are, as in all her work, the actions that structure it. Acts that are the artist’s own statement or declaration of interests: that her mark erode as little as possible. Her work is an example of degrowth, she speaks and questions in the first person what it means to be sustainable, to sustain and to be sustained.
